CA S. Sundar is a Chartered Accountant with more than 22 years experience with various industry leading MNCs in Manufacturing and Services sectors. During his tenure as a senior executive, he has held various positions including Board Director, CFO, Controller for various businesses in India. As the Asia-Pacific region ‘Business Partner’ for a large MNC Pharmaceutical Company, he focused on driving growth and improving profitability. Earlier responsibilities included leading the Finance and Compliance functions at various leading companies. Most recently, he has been a Resident Director of a Pfizer group company in India.

As the Director Finance & CFO, Sundar put in place Compliance and Governance practices and standardized and harmonized policies and procedures. He has also completed the integration of large Manufacturing facilities and acquisition and divestitures of multiple other businesses. He successfully set up and transitioned an India ‘Centre of Excellence’ to support Pfizer’s global Manufacturing and R&D Finance activities. He actively engaged in Enterprise Risk Management identification & management of key operational and business risks for the entity and put in place a stringent set of “anti-bribery” controls to mitigate ‘FCPA’ risks for the entity.

Prior to joining Pfizer, he worked with a non-banking arm of Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Hewlett-Packard, among other companies.

Shivaraman Ramani

Shivaraman is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India

Shivaraman qualified CA in 2008 and has been associated with large corporates since. His industry knowledge spans across IT / ITES, automobile and auto ancillary, power generation, publishing and pharmaceutical. As part of professional consulting experience, Shivaraman has been associated with large accounting advisory firms.

In his most recent role, Shivaraman was responsible for the financial controls and compliance for the Middle East and Africa region of a large pharmaceutical company. In his earlier roles, he has expertise in developing automation solutions for continuous controls monitoring and managing the relationship with outsourced accounting service providers. He was instrumental in designing a duplicate payments analysis that has helped a company identify and plug leakage in the payments process.

He has also helped develop and monitor KPIs for key finance and compliance work streams. With strong controls and process knowledge, Shivaraman has helped companies during the implementation phase of new workflow tools and IT solutions.

Balajee Subramanian

CA, CS, ASA (CPA Australia), ACFE

Balajee is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of post-qualification experience including consulting, audits (statutory and internal), Controllership, SOX and ICoFR implementations, fund raising, treasury, board management, financial analysis and finance strategy.

His industry knowledge spans across Manufacturing (Power and Distribution Transformers, Automobile, Auto Ancillary), Services (Financial, FinTech, Agritech), IT/ITES, NBFCs and Banks.

In his last corporate role, he headed the finance function for a venture capital studio model handling eight distinct entities which are in various stages of incubation which includes agritech, fintech, technology and NBFC companies. His role included structuring internal audit scope, controls implementation, board, treasury management including fund raising, in addition to being a virtual CFO for five start-ups.
